The following is a Stockhouse Q&A interview with Rokmaster Resources Corp. (TSX: V.RKR, Stock Forum) CEO John Mirko.

1. Rokmaster has an international focus to its business model. Can you tell me where the company’s current focus is?
We are focused on developing gold and copper in Southern Peru.
2. The Company’s management team has developed strong alliances in Peru to move forward on an extensive exploration program. Can you tell us about your plans in Peru?
Our team has moved us through the project identification and procurement stage, through the permit phase up to the diamond drilling stage. Phase I drilling is planned to commence shortly, targeting new oxide gold zones, a south extension of the current porphyry copper-gold resource area and a new porphyry discovery 12 km to the south.Phase II will expand on Phase I and commence pre-production study on oxide gold zones.
3. The Pinaya property seems to be the Company’s flagship property. Can you tell us a bit about the geology, and the infrastructure?
The property covers a vast contiguous 192 sq. km. area, containing gold-silver epithermal structures, copper –gold porphyry targets and resources. There are also numerous untested targets. It is located in the important Eocene Porphyry belt, extending from southwest Peru down through Chile. This belt hosts giant and super giant world class ore deposits. Access is afforded by the paved Glencore-Xstrata mine access road on the west, or an arterial unpaved road on the east with numerous truck roads and trails crisscrossing the property between the two. Power, water, seaport, airports, supply centers and railways are nearby. Visit our web page for details on the current ni-43-101 measured indicated and inferred copper-gold resources, other targets and infrastructure.
4, John, you personally have been working in the mining sector extensively for 35 plus years. Can you tell us what attracted you to Peru and this particular property?
Well first, it was the fact that Peru hosts many of the richest mineral deposits in the world. Second, compared to many other regions it is still relatively unexplored and welcomes investment as it understands the importance of mining to its economy.Third, certain members of our team have extensive experience in and knowledge of Peru and its world class potential. Finally and most importantly, the Pinaya property itself straddles a 25 km-long section of the newly emerging Andahuaylas-Yauri porphyry-skarn copper-gold belt extending from Chile into southern Peru.

The property is currently host to quite substantial copper-gold resources which remain wide open for expansion and numerous obvious coincidental targets and undrilled zones property wide.In Peru, the belt currently hosts 1 producing world class porphyry copper-gold mine, 3 giant to super-deposits in construction (Las Bambas has >13,000 workers building a 140,000 tpd mine) with dollars invested over the last couple of years totaling over $13 billion. Las Bambas was recently purchased by MMG for almost $6 billion.
5. Can you tell us about your role at Rokmaster Resources and the management team you have built?

My job is to guide our team to the low hanging fruit and add value to our investors’ holdings through discovery and cash flow generation as quickly as possible.  The team has many awards to its credit for the discovery of over 130 million ounces of gold and 80 billion pounds of copper etc. The team has full development and production experience and is ready and willing to take on the job in Peru.
6. Are there any challenges the company may face working in Peru?

There are the usual challenges as with most places. However, Peru is a mining country with over 500 years of continuous production. The current administration is constantly modernizing its safety, social and environmental laws to ensure the country maintains both high standards and continued investment of risk funds to protect the future of its people and land.
7. You have mentioned that permits to proceed with drilling on the property are imminent. Can you expand on this?
We have already received environmental and water permits and expect to receive a resolution from the Ministry of Energy and Mines (“MEM”) which will allow us to commence activities on the site shortly.
8. Moving forward what are the long-term goals for Rokmaster Resources?
We are looking to make a world class discovery at Pinaya as well as commence oxide gold production in the near-term.
9. Can you tell us why now is a good time for investors to take a position in Rokmaster Resources (RKR.V)?

In the venture markets, timing is everything and we are about to commence our first ever drill program for Rokmaster.

Our shares are trading at a low price and there looks to be significant upside potential in the near term.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Rockmaster is a Stockhouse Publishing client.
