A prominent U.S. newsletter writer says Silver Bull Resources Inc. (TSX: T.SVB, Stock Forum) is a potential takeover candidate.

“Someone who can add is going to take them out. Soon,’’ writes Bob Moriarty, publisher of 321 Gold, an investment newsletter that focuses on precious metals and precious metal stocks.

He is taking that view after a recent visit to the company’s Silver-Zinc Sierra Mojada project in Coahuila, Mexico.

The stock closed Friday at 40.5 cents, leaving a market cap of $64.4 million, based on 159 million shares outstanding. The 52-week range is 54 cents and 31 cents
