Guylaine Labbé Recently Took Office in Sherbrooke

SHERBROOKE, QC, Feb. 21, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - For the first time, RBC Royal Bank's Quebec Headquarters has appointed a Regional Vice-President to head its Personal Financial Services in the Estrie, Montérégie, Quebec Central and Beauce regions. Guylaine Labbé, who is located in Sherbrooke, will be responsible for sales management and RBC Royal Bank's strategic development in the Personal Financial Services, Financial Planning, and Small and Medium Financial Services sectors, with the exclusion of Commercial Financial Services.

"We are in the process of expanding," explained Martin Thibodeau, President, Quebec Headquarters, RBC Royal Bank, who initiated the appointment. "With Guylaine Labbé's appointment, we are going ahead with plans to construct new retail stores, and we are investing more in our employees and in reinforcing the RBC brand, particularly in regions with strong potential."

Guylaine Labbé has extensive experience in financial services, having held various branch manager and business banking account manager positions at RBC Royal Bank, prior to working in senior-level positions at two other Canadian banks. After a hiatus of several years, she has returned to RBC Royal Bank to ensure the success of expansion plans in Estrie and in the neighbouring regions under her responsibility.

RBC Royal Bank's Quebec Headquarters has also appointed Michel Béland to fill the newly created position of Regional Vice-President in Gatineau, where he will be responsible for the Outaouais/Abitibi regions. At the same time, André Labbé has been appointed Regional Vice-President, Quebec and Mauricie, replacing Guy Roy, who recently retired.
