The latest controlled environment storage technology will soon be
available for the Pharma and Biopharma industries when international
storage specialists Vindon Scientific open their new
facilities in California. The advanced storage suite will provide a
unique service in California to major Pharmaceutical and Biopharma
companies, CROs and CMOs that need GMP compliant controlled environment

Patrick Jackson, Vindon’s business development director, has been in the
US overseeing the project and promoting the new facilities to some of
the State’s major Pharma and Biopharma companies. After a first hand
view of the installation he commented, “The progress that has been made
at Santa Fe Springs over the past couple of weeks has been tremendous.
The site engineers and contractors have pulled out all the stops and we
are on schedule for having the suite ready for the grand opening on 31
Planning for the opening is well underway, with Marilyn Monroe
look-alike Jodi Fleischer scheduled to perform the opening ceremony and
cut the ribbon. The iconic ‘Marilyn’ will pose for photos with guests,
so it really will be an occasion to remember.
Vindon’s partners will also be on hand at the opening ceremony.
Transport and logistics specialists will be able to answer questions
about the GPS-tracked sample transport service, and Vindon’s
pharmaceutical testing and analysis laboratory partners will also share
their expertise with guests.
The facility offers controlled temperature and humidity storage, as well
as stability storage at all ICH conditions – including controlled
substance storage and storage at custom conditions. Biopharma clients
can take advantage of the freezer storage facilities on offer, with
temperatures ranging from -20ºC to -80ºC.
Back-up systems include a generator with automatic transfer to maintain
power to the entire facility in the case of an electrical outage. Audio
and visual alarms for temperature and humidity and constantly recording
CCTV also add to the integrity of samples stored with Vindon in
