Pan American Fertilizer (V.PFE) makes mystery 142% jump but is marijuana to blame?

Pan American Fertilizer (TSX-V:PFE, StockForum), a Vancouver-based mineral exploration firm engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties, made some moves in the market today as companies like Satori Resources spike 66% on news of entry into the medical marijuana market.

Bullboarders are openly calling for the company to formally and publicly shift focus into the medical marijuana sector and it seems as though investors, caught up in the medical marijuana mania, feel that Pan American is a prime contender for immediate entry into the business and may already be quietly setting up an engagement in the sector.

Adding to the linking of PFE to the marijuana business is the fact that the President of Pan American was, until recently, Scott Walters, the Medical Marijuana industry consultant recently hired by burgeoning Satori Resources (TSX:V.BUD, Stock Forum), which is thought to be planning marijuana grow operations out of a Flin Flon mine shaft.

Walters is said to be a key advisor to PFE.

Pan American was in the news recently when the company provided an operational update at the end of February.

Shares jumped 142.86% on said speculation to $0.17 per share.

Currently there are 34.2m outstanding shares with a market cap of $5.8 million.

Hi Johnny, If you read our pieces on this market move, I don't think any of them haven't pointed out that none of these big movers have news to back the buzz. Dudes are gonna speculate. That's what we're reporting on.

Wow Scott Walters can really make a stock fly. So far his advisory work made THC, BUD, and PFE all rocket up. The big question is, will any of these companies get government permits to be in the medical marijuana business? If not, they will all crash hard. Why don't the stockhouse writers realize a permit is needed? Its kind of wreckless to make conclusions as they are doing. They are opening themselves up to lawsuits.
