Fission Uranium spinco (V.FUU) jumps 36% on no news, shrinks back just as fast

Fission 3.0 (TSX:V.FUU, Stock Forum), a spinco emerging out of the Fission Uranium (TSX:V.FCU, Stock Forum)/Alpha Minerals merger deal, jumped 36% in early trading to shift from $0.11 to $0.15 with heavy volume, leading to investor speculation about upcoming news.

No such news had emerged by noon, and the share quickly shrank back to $0.125 as daytraders took profits.

The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fission, and holds northwest Athabasca Basin exploration properties in the North Shore, Thompson Lake and Beaver River areas, and JV properties with the parent company in the Patterson Lake North and Clearwater West areas.

Fission 3.0 has a $22.9 million market cap with 153 million shares outstanding.
