Agrium, West Fraser Timber hit 52-week high

Agrium Inc. (TSX: T.AGU, Stock Forum) briefly hit $109.38 on Tuesday before closing at $109.26, for an increase of 2.84%.

On Jan. 16, the agricultural products retailer announced it would be hosting a sell-side analyst event the morning of January 28th, 2013 in New York City.

Agrium will discuss the company's strategy, operating performance and growth prospects, including an in depth review of Agrium retail.

The second company to make the 52-week-high list was West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. (TSX: T.WFT, Stock Forum). The stock hit a new peak of $82.12, before closing at $81.89, for an increase of 3.21%.

On Jan. 15, 2013, the integrated wood products company said it will hold an analysts' conference call to discuss fourth quarter 2012 financial and operating results on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time/11:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

West Fraser Timber is best known for producing lumber and southern yellow pine, panels, pulp, newsprint and wood chips.
