The TSX composite fell 34.02 points to 12,205.34 in mid-morning trading on Monday. The Dow was down 23.78 to 13,001.80, while NASDAQ gained 3.10 to 3,013.34.
Among the movers in early trading, shares of computer maker Dell Inc. (NGS: DELL, Stock Forum) jumped more than 5% after Goldman Sachs upgraded its stock from sell to buy.
