North American stocks opened higher Friday on hopes of a Greece bailout agreement.
The TSX rose 50 points 12,203, while the Venture exchange added less than a point at 1,249.
Leading the most-active list in Toronto were shares of Research In Motion (TSX: T.RIM), down 4% to $11.48 on volume of more than 4.3 million shares.
The Dow moved 81 points higher to 12,917, and the Nasdaq was up 20 points to 2,946.
Gold prices gained $6 to US$1734, while the price of silver edged up 17 cents to $33.61.
