Proceeds from the sale of the truck will go directly to support Chicks n
Chaps-an organization that teaches women about the sport of rodeo while
raising awareness and funds for breast cancer patients and their
families
CHEHALIS, WA, Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - At its upcoming Chehalis, WA
unreserved auction on March 5, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE and TSX:
RBA), the world's largest industrial auctioneer, will sell a 2012
Chevrolet 2500HD Silverado 4x4 pickup truck for charity—all proceeds
from the sale of the truck will go directly to support breast cancer
patients and their families through the Montana-based Chicks n Chaps™
charity organization. In total, more than 1,300 heavy equipment items
and trucks will be sold in the Chehalis auction, including the 2012
Chevrolet pickup—all items will sold by unreserved auction, with no
minimum bids or reserve prices. Bids can be made in the auction in
person at Ritchie Bros. Chehalis auction site, via live simulcast in
Alaska, online in real time at www.rbauction.com or by proxy.
"Our organization is very excited for auction day—the more money the
truck brings the more people we can help," said Shannone Hart,
co-president and founder of Chicks n Chaps. "There are lots of breast
cancer charities out there, raising millions of dollars each year—with
much of that money going to research. Research is very important, of
course, as it will help future breast cancer patients, but our charity
focuses on those fighting cancer right now. All the funds we raise go
directly to local breast cancer patients and their families that need
help today."
The 2012 Chevrolet 2500HD Silverado 4x4 pickup truck was donated to
Chicks n Chaps by Karl Tyler Chevrolet in Missoula, MT and features a
one-of-a-kind paint wrap created by well-known cowboy and western
artist Larry Pirnie—the paint wrap (which can be removed) is pink, with
the sides painted with women and men riding rodeo and has the Chicks n
Chaps logo. For more information, including a photo of the truck, visit
