Rates fall at US Treasury bill auction with 6-month bills down to lowest level since January

WASHINGTON - Interest rates on short-term Treasury bills fell in Monday's auction with rates on six-month bills dropping to the lowest level since late January.

The Treasury Department auctioned $35 billion in three-month bills at a discount rate of 0.075 per cent, down from 0.085 per cent last week. Another $30 billion in six-month bills was auctioned at a discount rate of 0.105 per cent, down from 0.0110 per cent last week.
