U.S. Treasury Outlook (November 23 )

It will be an abbreviated session for U.S. markets following the Thanksgiving Day holiday on Thursday. The lack of participants and data/events will make for a quiet, but potentially volatile trade into the weekend. Next week's action will be dominated by the $99 bln in Treasury auctions. Data includes durable orders, consumer confidence, and various housing figures. There could be many distortions that could make it difficult to read much into the figures given after-effects from Sandy and the elections. There will be Fedspeak from Bernanke (but only brief remarks for the Fed's College Challenge), along with Fisher, Lockhart, Evans, and Tarullo. The Beige Book for the December 11, 12 FOMC meeting will be released.
