Exploration drilling intersects "significant mineralization" east and west of the deposit
Osisko Mining (TSX: T.OSK, Stock Forum) Wednesday reported results from the ongoing diamond drill program at the Upper Beaver gold project located in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, this according to a company news release.
Highlights included an intersection of 5.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 54.0 metres.
The gold miner added that exploration drilling has intersected what it called “significant mineralization” east and west of the deposit, including 27.7 g/t gold over 4.0 metres.
The Upper Beaver mine produced about 140,000 ounces of gold and 12 million pounds of copper intermittently from 1912 to 1971, from 526,678 tonnes averaging 8.31 g/t gold and 1.03% copper.
