I've been investing since 1954. In the 57 years to date I've experienced only four years that were not profitable. 1973-4, 2000-01 and 2008-09. I do much research before investing--currently have thirty stocks in my portfolios. Usually invests in companies with share prices lower than C$10/sh. I dohold railways and Banks which are for dividends only but not for trading.
