If the price of gold starts to rise again and gets well over 2000, and the mining sector regains favor as people start to come to their senses re: valuations, then VTR will recover and be back where it was 3 years ago, or better, along with the r... |

Disregard my snarky, bitter previous posts, just a bad day. The market's valuing VTR at less than 1/2 book value, less than the net asset value of non-core properties and the company still has money in the bank for a while. It's your d... |

I think the sector just needs to hold on a little longer - maybe 10 or 12 years, and things will turn around. That or maybe a good washout selloff that pushes the price under 0, and ideally back in time (think of a spiral on the chart), so that ... |

The capex was not actually a surprise given that they have guided towards $700m in the past, but you still would have thought they would have seen how the markets have reacted to other >$500m capex studies and done something to scale it approp... |

I'm not sure he's clearly recognizing gold as MONEY, rather than an INVESTMENT or a COMMODITY. But in fairness to him, I don't think he advocates holding cash either. Still, quite a betrayal of his Father if he really means what he ... |

I gave your post on the BSX board a 5. The fact the Brent Cook could pump a company with 750 million capex requirement, political issues related to development and only 2.6 million oz just confirms that you really can't trust anybody in this... |

Yeah, they sure hit the nail on the head with this one LOL. Big vote of market confidence, the institutional crowd clearly shares the general optimism of the board - big 'buying opportunity'. I wonder if Brent Cook, Charles Oliver, Ric... |

Right now the price of 'GOLD' (meaning those meaningless, infinitely available but undeliverable futures contracts on the Comex) is 1445, 'SILVER' is 23.74. However, if I go to my local coin shop, I can buy gold for 1485, and sil... |

Not a chance. The whole sector's had it's 'rally' and now its time to push for new lows. Not that there's any reason for it, just the way it goes. Watch the program selling kick in. Probably see 1.25 on this leg down. |

He probably sold in to the buying that he generated when he was pumping it. Not that it matters, the whole sector's going to die at the hands of bank manipulation of non-existent gold futures, and eventually the Chinese will buy up every wel... |
