It seems that trusts are gaining in strength this shoulder season as we approach summer recess. Investors seems to be jumping into quality at the lows and gaining a distribution to boot. I have finally added a good portion of $$$ to my SDT.UN. I see quality, a relatively safe play here and higher future returns going forward.

bought some more too. was overweight in metals so redivvied some of that around to balance things out. like sdt, trading at a healthy discount to NAV and I feel that trusts are coming out of the doldrums for now.

I agree that the oil and esp. gassy trusts will do very well going forward. They have technically reached bottoms and now will surge forth this coming year into 08. I believe that SDT.un with their basket will do very well and should reach new highs going forward.

Well I don't follow EIT.un that much, however from what I see its fairing quite well and will do well going forward in a turbulent market which will come IMO. Eit.un is trading around 13% below Nav. The discount to Nav on Sentry is about 2% less than Enervest but Enervest has lagged a bit behind. I am only partial to Sentry atm because my brokerage Union Securties is buying Sentry for their Clients and I have held a postion through them for a few years now a bit higher from where we are today pre Halloween. So I thought it prudent to add a goodly $$$ to Sentry in my online account going forward.
