This is an incredible opportunity for a driven hunter sales person – you will be working from a home office, and part of the Canadian sales organization that is dedicated to growing their client base. Stockhouse is an industry leader and an incredibly well recognized brand for Canadian specific investment information and content. Your primary role will be to establish relationships and position Stockhouse products and services to publically traded Small Cap Oil & Gas companies within the province of Alberta. Ideally you will bring a solid track record in new business development with a working knowledge of the Small Cap Oil & Gas sector including both their exploration and financial planning requirements. Previous experience with Investor Relations or a related capacity would also be an asset.
The rewards are many. Target income (includes base, commission) is $90,000+, which is the minimum expected earnings…there is no ceiling, so the sky is the limit on what you can earn. Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales process, developing relationships and responding to customer requirements are important aspects
- Seek out, qualify and close new sales opportunities
- Recommend solutions and link customer objectives to our services to drive competitive advantage
- Create competitive, high quality proposals, and cost/benefit analysis
- Utilize applicable sales tools effectively to plan, communicate and document progress as well as increase business opportunity in accounts
- Successfully build and foster team based relationships across the organization to ensure customer satisfaction and additional sales growth
- Work closely with Account Management group to ensure timely and effective delivery
Requirements:
- Minimum three years experience with proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets, thriving in a quota-driven environment
- Ability to develop effective relationships at a senior level (for small scale companies) and with middle management decision makers (for large and mid-sized companies)
- Solid understanding of the natural resources industry and specifically oil and gas sectors
- Understand the nature and life cycle of Public Company investor relations marketing and advertising
- Independent, results driven, self-motivated with a positive attitude
- A history of success, a strong work ethic and effective qualifying, problem-solving and communication skills
- Understand how to apply research information in presentations/proposals
- Familiarity with the stock market and understanding of the online world
- University degree or equivalent experience; formal sales training an asset
- Candidate must be available to travel to Vancouver for training
Compensation includes base salary, uncapped commission and benefits
