5/21/2013 1:14:28 PM

Now that the FTTH/premise network has been essentially "built out" the quarterly statements are showing the Free Cash Flow's building. Like Ma Bell, will they use it to increase dividends and make acquisitions? Nice to se BA fina...

Looks like BCE is not taking NO for an answer in its pursuit of Astral. It has probably forgotten this punny little BA bone that's already buried in its backyard.
11/26/2012 4:31:23 PM 1

I thought the same thing. I guess that the stock will trade up tomorrow.
10/18/2012 4:37:41 PM 1

how about buying the measly litta BA for what you don't already own? May not be as meaty but surely just as juicy. Take my BA, please!
10/18/2012 4:26:59 PM 1

Doubt that big mother would buy it back for what she split it off at which was in the $33 range. I was a recipient at that time, still hold and it has never regained that pinicale. I suppose divs have made up for it though.

Wonder why? Not that I'm complaining.
9/21/2012 4:22:10 PM 1

How about just holding for 10yrs. and still get paid while you wait.
6/21/2012 4:51:50 AM 2

This stock essentially trades in the range of $24-$29. Get in at 24-25 and out at 28-29 and be paid 7.6% while you wait.

Go back to 2008 and the telcos were the least hit. But, I agree with the no divy until sept. theory. But still a huge hit and still dropping.
6/14/2012 11:52:52 AM 2

Doesn't seem like anything is low risk in these markets.
6/14/2012 10:53:32 AM 1

It is totally based on the size and reliability of its dividend. No divy now until Sep so why have a bundle of cash tied up for what is expected to be a very down market this summer (not to mention what might happen as a result of the Greek elec...
6/14/2012 10:53:04 AM 1

I get into a "low risk" stock for the dividend and get pummeled. What's happening? I realize that 47 cents is taken out for the dividend.
6/14/2012 10:09:26 AM 2

not sure why bell aliant is dipping today as exdividend is tomorrow.

Aah OK-I was assuming that BA was doing their internet hook-ups the same way that Bell is doing it here in our area, where they take the fibre to the junction box which feeds hundreds of households and use the copper phone wire for the internet. ...
6/5/2012 8:52:58 AM 1

BA's fibre op is direct fibre from their office to the customers house, including the loop into the premises. All services including landline are provided over the fibre cable. The bandwidth is only limited by the current software configurati...

5/29/2012 9:15:18 PM 1

When BA comes up on Market Call, as usual the full story doesn't seem to get out there. The analysts all talk about land lines and the decline of land lines, all the while not recognizing that BA is using those same lines to bring high-speed ...
