What i don't get is why is IMN trading at a 2.80 premium if FM has to buy all the shares at $70 or higher. |

I faintly hope FM sweetens the pot by the end of the day to lure the last remaining holdouts to sell shares, hah |

Thanks for all your advice Brian. I agree, its sad how Inmet's board just quietly went away and resigned and now recommends the tender. Too funny and sad at the same time. Although right now the cash option seemed to be the best, even though... |

First Quantum was lucky...Inmet's management were not up to the task of either defending Inmet from acquisition or negotiating a better deal for the shareholders. In retrospect, Inmet shareholders might be better off now with a smarter, more ...

I feel both issues are going to trade around the offer price until Thursday. After the deal is consumated, I think First Quantum is going to trade up ahead of the market, provided, of course, that the copper market continues to stay more or less ... |

Think of it this way. First Quantum have put on the table half the offer in cash and the other half in shares. If half the shares tendered ask for cash and the other half shares in FM...everyone gets what they want. Any other ratio and the payout... |

Sneaky tactics by FM for sure. I'd like to see this as a gun to Inmet management to call their bluff. It doesn't take much for one big shareholder to withdraw their tender taking it down from 61% to under 50% if Inmet can get a deal done... |
