I presume there is an array of sensors located before the drill bit and they are taking readings of the surrounding ground as they drill, maybe this information is being used in determining where to drill the sidetrack.

NS is not cryptic he simply does not speak English as his first language. As well he has stated his reason for the big change before. You'd have to go back a while to see it. Today he updated the change in attitude by sharing with the board ... |

I will go with most probably oil in Sabisa. Sabisa will most probably prove a continuation of the Kenyan petroleum system. I don't know if Sabisa will produce, but remember the flow test was constrained at surface with Ngamia-1 which was dr...

Not a big change, I had verry low odds after the first 1500m. But now there is oil but I do not know if it is 1m or 50m. But I know this fourth sidetrack has hold so far.. Wy drill 4 sidetrack if the well is dry? regards |

I must admit NS, I find your words somewhat cryptic at times. In the very recent past, you had been quite negative on Sabisa with nothing found down to 1500m, even to the point of getting out of AOI. But your tune these days seems more optimist...

Yes! It looks like the fourth sidetrack in Sabisa worked well. It has not been cheap. BUT if you try that much, you must know what you are looking for. GLTA! regards |

confuse TD ( Total Depth ) with Target Depth , which should really be described as DTT ( Depth To Target ) the point I think Rion was making is that he thinks the DTT might be much shallower at Etuko than at Ngamia or Twiga for example. The relea...

Etuko looks more like 2700 metres TD when comparing to Twiga South1 (3,250 metres TD) in the Tullow_2012_full_year_results_presentation.pdf. At least in case the cross-section drawing is somehow ment to be exact. |

Anyone notice the change of control clauses now in the information circular. Protecting themselves against a takeover. Hmmmm. I know. Some will say standard clauses but I do believe that they were not in there last year. Anybody can confirm??

Storck, agree w you on the depth. It does seems like it is deep at TD. Loperot 1 was drilled to 3km and I think etuko is deeper. Have not been able to any info of the target depth. Believe the primary target is the lower lokhone sandstones which ... |

if sabisa is still going they are really having trouble..... 1500 meters should be drilled and cased in undertwo weeks not 4.5 months. There might be something down there, it'll bite hard if they don't find anything. 20 million or more to aerate th...

Be nice to see their anticipated drilling curve for the well, but those are not typically public. The NR about the Etuko spud says "The well is expected to take approximately 60 days to drill and evaluate". On page 16 of the May present...

Testing is nearly always from bottom up as this is the safest, lowest cost, most data efficient method for well testing. It is very quick and easy to isolate a deeper perforated zone from a zone above. It is very difficult and expensive to isolat... |
