And what is your opinion on the competition in Utah ? There are many other companies out there claiming they have revolutionary extraction methods with more or less the same benefits of no more

Yes, the options are limitless once it is proven the technology works. It is looking like we will find out in about a year (although I believe it will take slightly longer.  These large more

Yes it is unlikely to see a government-business partnership and it wouldn't make much sense anyway. I also don't think they would ever go as far as impose an interdiction on tailing ponds. The more

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:First Oil now expected in Q4 2015

I think it is unlikely the government would do something so formal as to create a partnership.  but I can see the government passing a law saying 'No Tailings ponds by (insert date here)' this more

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:First Oil now expected in Q4 2015

Yes perhaps when word gets out about USO, and if everything they work on works as planned, governments will pressure big oil companies to reduce their dependence on, or simply eliminate, more

RE:RE:RE:RE:First Oil now expected in Q4 2015

I was recently in Ft Mac and I was asking about the tailings ponds, they are very aggressively trying to lessen the impact of the ponds. When I mentioned US Oil Sands to them, they were intrigued more

It's great to have the insight of someone who actually works in the oil industry. I own shares of Suncor  and it's a wonderful company. The stock's price decrease is a good opportunity to increase more

I've been working in the oil patch in Alberta for over 10 years, generally when the oil price is down that impacts on labour costs. So sometimes there is more expansion done by the oil sands more

RE:First Oil now expected in Q4 2015

Let's hope not. If the current oil market condition persists through 2015, it would be a good time, IMO, for USO to start selling. Most big oil players say they will put their projects to a halt more

First Oil now expected in Q4 2015

This information is identified in the September 2014 Corporate Presentation. I would anticipate that this date may move further out than Q4 2015. IMO.  rate and reply

RE:Huge volume

True. The oil industry took somewhat of a hit recently with all that's been going on including the strenght of the dollar. I guess it's better for us in the long-term but right now I'd rather more

RE:The thing with USO is its' use of a "CITRUS" solvent.....

do you realize how crazy that statement sounds? it may be a citrus based solvent, but you are still using it to get oil out of the sand so you can send it out for refining. any value more

The thing with USO is its' use of a "CITRUS" solvent..... the bitumen refining process.   You DO NOT have to build a processing plant in Utah to find whether or not there are benefits.  IF it works,  IF it is economical ,  IF it lessens more

Yes, you're right. As time goes by, we'll have to ignore the market noise. Energy projects take years to develop, and it is especially true with a new technology entering the field. In any case, more

I guess only time will tell.  I agree the market typically overreacts, and then corrects itself.  My thought is that the share price rises to 70-75 cents, then drops back down to where it should more
