RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:What's the board's thoughts on this?

Donalda is mainly shallow gas.  The Units are deep Leduc oil.  It's an old Imperial oil asset. The related liabilities between these two are not in the same ball park.  rate and reply

Thanks for these quoted facts, InvestLarge. I do not really understand why some cluless posters here try desperately to change the facts. The company sold for $44,950/boe and managed to MORE THAN...read more

You're smarter than that - cant just ignore the liabilties. I'm not sure how you can say the liabilities should be ignored, and also question the liabilities associated with the new 10 beopd in...read more

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:What's the board's thoughts on this?

They didn't get paid $1.7M did they? What was the purchase price? Whtever the number on the cheque was. That is what you divide by the # of barrels. Simple math. I would have taken $1.7M all day long....read more

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:What's the board's thoughts on this?

So it would have made more sense to be paid $1.7 million in cash and continue to hold the liability on the balance sheet? (Theoretically)  rate and reply

RE:RE:RE:RE:What's the board's thoughts on this?

Bad math and apples to oranges of liability reduction to production...the numbers are irrelevant. You say $40M, I say $15M less debt for EV.  It's still the same asset. It didn't just get 3x better...read more

RE:4 in one for QXP with this well-targeted transaction

Sigh... your a fibber. QXP sold an asset for $417K. They got rid of a large liability.  They added more liability back when they bought another asset. "QXP added 60 boepd (10 boepd + 50 boepd) for $5...read more

Rknight = wrong math

See my last post. Sale price was $10,973/boe. If the original purchase was between $8-13K then it is a wash at best. You just can't say purchase price metric is before you subtract the liability. It...read more

Sure.  Sold 38 boed for $10,973/boe. The discussion of gain on sale is purely to inflate the number to something that would appear to be a signifigantly better metric. That's just annoying. Just for...read more
