Actually we burn natural gas for energy on my projects, followed by diesel, gasoline, then finally jet fuel for the large gas turbine compression units.  I noticed that people in Quebec are paid 30% less than those in Alberta, there is a much higher unemployment rate and power is nearly free.  But still the costs of this mine are out of control, strange indeed.

It really is great that all the people working at the mine drive their electric cars 120 km to get to work everyday.  And MTO has converted all the heavy equipment to electric drive and run power to the Barry pit.

I also noticed that when they were producing Barry they drove electric hovercraft trucks to transport the ore.
