I must add that a monetary award in our favor would probably have enabled IG to meet its obligations to the note holders (or reduced the outstanding obligation) and could have seen IG face Costa Rica with no outstanding debt and possibly with sufficient cash on hand to finance any future legal costs. 

The difference between the Vz  and Costa Rica situation is that we have/had a fully permitted mine and full government support. The C.R. Courts have said that the government can cancel Las Crucitas but will have to pay compensation (that's where the $1.8 Billion came from) 

I do hope sanity prevails and the ICSID route can be avoided.

The bottom line is that IG requires additional funding to pursue due process re Las Crucitas. Now more than ever IG needs the the support of the note holders.
