There's a warehouse project the size of a US Football pitch gone up in the field opposite my place of work, I think it might ba a new Amazon Wharehouse. Ground work was completed in a couple of months (ditch digging, concrete pour, laying pipes, etc.) The frame went up in a few weeks as it was all pre-formed steel. The roof and cladding took another couple of weeks. It was amazing to see how fast this huge structure went up, there where no fixed internal walls, floors or divisions to complicate things...

Now presumably most of what goes inside these plants is going to be shipped in -so apart from the build which can occur in parallel to say a 6 week shipping duration, actual commisioning and flow optimisation are going to be additions to the critical path.

I think we may be pleasantly surprised how fast these structures appear to be going up and then a bit frustrated that the ouput is not going to come along for another 6 months after the building and stuff is in...

If they start in the next couple of months they should aim to complete/commision by March>June 2014.
