JT, I'm Alaskan, and I can say that we don't consider ourselves tree huggers, especially on Prince of Whales Island where Bokan Mt. is located.  Half that island has been clear cut.  As for as development of that mine goes, the people here will be concerned about radio active runoff getting into the salmon spawning streams, and eventually the ocean.  It won't be seen as a worthy trade since half of Southeast Alaska's economy is fishing. I know it better than anyone as a local.  That mine isn't a long way off because we're concerned about protecting the environment.  It's a long way off because we're concerned about protecting our culture, livlihood, and economy which just so happens to strem from this states delicate ecosystem.  GW is a much more solid investment, but I guess most people here already knew that.  I have derm on ignore, so I didn't see what he originally posted.  He's an idiot.  -IslandMaster
