Theoldguy -  Here is my opening remark in the report I recently published and I can assure you that I have been following the rare earth sector for thirteen years.

"Our thirst for energy, regardless of what source generates that energy, has a relationship to what I have outlined below.  In such large to minute amounts as may occur in components required to generate that energy, rare earths are and will be used in all energy sourcing components, be it solar, wind, hydrogen, hydro, fossil fuels, tidal, radiant, wave, chemical, nuclear, transportation, geothermal,  probably much more.  We do not realize how dependent we are and will be on the supply of rare earths as new technologies emerge.  We as a society underestimate the value of rare earths.
