I have always wondered why majors wait to buy small fish like BBB  until they are fully driled and modeled and feasibility studied up and down, in and out when, by then, their market cap is so much higher.  If I were a major, I would occassionally take a stab at a junior like BBB that has shown fantastic potential already as they come along, when I could get it for almost nothing...ie., like now.  I am not in the industry so my opinion counts for nadda, but does anyone have any comments on why this  type of opportunistic buyout is done so seldom by majors?  Just curious...and ok yeah, frustrated too.
