LNG is a ludicrous idea in the first place. There's only 1 mine on the planet that runs on LNG power. That's a fact. A power company is going to spend hundreds of millions to build an LNG plant for 1 industrial customer (and the tiny town) in one of the most remote places on the planet? It just doesn't make sense.
Does AXI even have the $1 million or so that's required for its share of LNG feasibility study costs? Not right now. They're dead broke.
Lots of companies own their own port facilities. IOC owns its own port facilities. Vale owns its own port facilities at Voisey's Bay. It makes sense to own your port if you're the only user.
