It does not take a genious to figure out that if you have heavy equipment and heavy hoisting you will produce much more ore.

The Galena needs heavy equipment and heavy hoisting to produce significantly more ore. They are bottlenecked now and will not move much ore weather that ore comes from a giant ore body or a whole bunch of small bodies.

So if the Lead Zone is giant ore body, then they should sink a shaft instead of bottlenecking.

30 to 40 million? Sinking a production shaft a mile deep is about 400 million dollars maybe 500 million.
