@BC silver - Residents of BC have no more right to the Pacific Ocean than any other Canadian. You live next to the Pacific but it's not yours so quit thinking and acting like it is yours. A pipleline carrying Suncor oil through BC is no different than a truck or a train hauling Canfor's lumber on another province's highways and bridges. That truck could just as easily crash, and cause a spill and cleanup, and nobody in the rest of Canada is taxing BC to give the hillbillies work at your mills. What's happened is that the BC government has taken a page out of the First Nation's book on how to try and extract concessions from others. At least the First Nations are honorable and don't think they own the Pacific Ocean though.
