Also, could be tax gain, if somebody picked up shares even lower, and thinking capital gain taxes might be higher next year for their bracket.  Or, could be rebalancing by a mutual fund or other manager, or a manager not wanting to show gold stocks in his year-end report.  Anyway, to me, everything points to an opportunity to pick up shares at a bargain. 

If you haven't looked at the Level II screen:  it was big sales via Credit Suisse that drove the price on Friday.  Take away that, and we would have seen something different.

Also, of course, the price of gold is down.  Anyway, again, looks like an opportunity for cheap shares for those with a steady view.
