Mr. Mervold joined Petrobank in September 2011, and is currently the Senior Vice President of Operations and Production. His career spans over 24 years starting in the field office with Dome Petroleum in 1987, which later became BP AMOCO through a series of mergers. In 1999, Mr. Mervold joined Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. as a Production Engineer of Heavy Oil and Gas when they acquired the oil business unit of BP AMOCO. Mr. Merovld held various Production Management roles at Paramount Energy Trust from 2005 until he joined Petrobank in 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta.

as far as the trade goes it's probably a tax situation, out of a taxable account into a tax free one which you really only do if you think you'll have some nice gains as you cant write off a loss in a tax free account.
