Mayor Tom Laughren, City of Timmins joined Robert Peterman, Director, Business Development, Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange to open the market today to celebrate the City's 100th Anniversary.

Joining Mayor Laughren were representatives from the Timmins business community and from mining companies Detour Gold, Goldcorp. Gowest Gold, Lake Shore Gold , Liberty Mines and Moneta Porcupine Mines. The market open marks another milestone in the 4 year 100th anniversary celebration that began in 2009. The City of Timmins is the home of many publicly traded mining companies as well as the undisputed gold capital in North America. For more information visit
