goldage - if you wanna keep sticking your head in the sand over whose fault the delay in transfering EDV shares to ADR, that's your perogative.  Those that did their DD into the situation know better.

But alas, need I remind you that some brokers have a policy of "fronting" the shares to their clients during a merger deal? Just because one got shares in their personal account, does not mean you got shares from EDV.    Could be that your broker was one that fronted you the shares from their own stash and replaced the shares with the ones EDV provided.  [Oh, and just because one has never heard to the practice, doesn't mean it didn't happen in some cases.]
