>>>>How come some got them and some didn't.<<<<
Go back and read my first post on this topic from several weeks ago. The broker told me that some houses will see that a deal like this is "in the works" and will "advance" shares or trading rights to shares to their customers BEFORE the house receives the shares from the company. THAT could be one way some got shares faster than others.
Second, from what I can tell from the anecdotal reports here, those that "got" shares were with Canadian brokers. Unfortunately to get shares to US shareholders, one has to transfer them through the DTC, and THAT is apparently where EDV management messed up. For some reason they did not follow proper procedures or rules and didn't properly register the shares. So yeah, US shareholders could have gotten EDV shares, but unregistered shares would be worthless - unable to be traded on any US Exchange and thus just wallpaper. So maybe EDV and their attorneys will get it together and finish the paperwork by the end of the year? Of course by then I will have lost the opportunity to sellout and avoid big losses, if the shares go up, take profits and pay lower taxes this year.
Don't worry however - to those that got their shares - you are OK. Who cares what else happens to others as long as YOU got YOUR shares? No need to be concerned - management mess-ups didn't effect you so obviously they aren't worth remembering or caring about. And of course we all know management mess-ups mean nothing when it comes to investing in Mining companies - what is important is that people on BBs support your section of the company and say nice things about it! That is how real money is made - those mentioning management issues are to be ignored. We all know Goodwill and Hope move stock prices, not management progress.
