no, I m not invested in CGG at all and I m not a protester of anti mining at all. just a mine with such a disaster happened made me wonder why it happened with so many victims? shouldn't they have all the safety permits before they mine? then why it's not safe at all? you take this as a natural disaster but not everybody think so. it doesn't have a conclusion yet but from what i have read previous excessive mining work has emptied the inside of the mountain that's the main reason of this so called disaster. there was no big rain or snow or earthquake when landslide happened.
now it has confirmed 59 death of this disaster. there is a unwritten rule in China that if the number of victims in a disaster more than 37 then the leader of that area will take responsibility. I believe a full investigation will begin soon after the cleanup. Jiama mine wouldn't go back for production any time soon.
