ICL buys 23m shares in t.AAA to take advantage of potash demand in china and africa.
Chinese company Jiangxi Gangfeng already knows that. it's not only interested in lithium but also potash at Interntaionl Lithium's (v.ILC) Argentina property.
per the AGM: Mr. Kirill Klip stated, "We are working to advance our Blackstairs Lithium project early in 2014 under the ten million dollar joint venture with strategic partner Ganfeng Lithium Co. Ltd. ("GFL"). We are also working with GFL on a corporate structure that will enable the companies to move forward on the Mariana lithium-potash brine project in Argentina.
A buyout is likely IMO. 77m shares OS, >50% held by insiders and Gangfeng holds 10m shares. Not expensive for Gangfeng to buy it outright and get all the properties. marketcap is 77m x 0.03 = $2.31m, a small % of Gangfeng's net income.
