Inside buying prompts buzz on the SGX Bullboard.

Sage Gold Inc. (TSX: V.SGX, Bullboard) saw its share price close up almost 14% Wednesday, at 24 cents, on no news from the company.

SGX, a mineral exploration company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, has, according to the company’s website, “an aggressive 2008 drill program with the main focus on properties in the Beardmore-Geraldton gold camp in North Eastern Ontario.”

Even without a news release from the company, SGX’s Bullboard was buzzing with the increase in stock price.

Cameroni wrote, on May 7, 2008, “I bought a small position 50K @ .195 after watching the ebbs and flows for a couple of months. Might be the first time ever I timed the near bottom. I figured buying for less than the insiders would be an alright move.” This Stockhouse member was referring to inside buying that had been taking place in April and May. This was also referred to by sdeell1 on May 6, who simply stated that it was “nice to see more buying.”

AEROsport wrote, “Something is up here! Volume up to 1,175,800” on Wednesday. By the end of the trading day, volume was up to two million.

“So it looks like we have some interest in our stock today,” wrote ss1867, “sure everyone is waiting for some great news and maybe some is coming in near future, so what have we got here – mere speculation? Will it be another “buy on the rumour and sell on the fact” price pump by the day traders, No, I don’t think so, just look at the properties that Sage holds, look at the insider buying, look at the number of drills they have running right now, No, the next move will be to a significantly higher plateau and this 20 cent range will be dust in the wind, watch for a lot of new money to come into this stock, for every short sighted investor with a 1 year horizon there are 10 long investors who see the big picture, it takes 5 to 7 years to bring a significant find into production.”

ss1867 went on to write, “load up now at under .30 and then have a good look at what Eldorado Gold did over 5 years, it develpoed [sic] an allmost [sic] cult like following, I predict the same for Sage, my position is not for sale. Watch this stock go, I suggest it will be worth over a buck by mid summer and will continue to suprise [sic].”

While not everyone on the SGX Bullboard may agree with ss1867’s optimism, colorisgreen is one member who does: “30 today? some are saying that it could breadh [sic] the half buck in a few days…i guess we’ll wait and see! ;)”
