here is some locals working a small placer mining operation out of barkerville, if you go to page number 11 you will see they have 300ounces poured in small bars worth about 5 hundred thousand dollars. they seem to be doing much better than those fellows in the alaska gold mining television show who never seem to get much gold so maybe this is a good sign
