it's my opinion that the majority of analysts out there have an agenda, and their remarks should be taken with more than a grain of salt. I've got buddies who are analysts, in the mining and resource sector, and I can assure you, in fact we joke about it over some beers, that they don't know a whole lot more than you and I regarding these issues. When they go on "due diligence" missions to a site, they shake a few hands, exchange some pleasentries and come home.
For the most part these guys went to school to study business in general, and have a passing knowledge of the resource business in particular. So, like Hodgins said, he relies on the words of a sound Geologist like this Jon H fella. Well Jon is a geologist, and not an accountant, so he's ~68 million bucks short when noting Orbite's cash position of ~1.2 million versus the actual ~70 million. yikes.
These guys on TV aren't stupid, not at all, but the noise they spew is backed by motives other than providing the home-gamer with sound intel. block out the noise, know the facts for yourself, and you're far ahead of the jokers who make stock picks from fella's promoting their book on the tele.
