	About the Unit
	Yara and XLR have a joint venture in Ethiopia, Ethiopotash BV. Ethiopotash BV is working to develop a potash resource in Dallol, based on the mining and exploration permits held by the company. In this regard, we are looking to set up a project group, with locations in Addis Ababa and Dallol to work on the project.
	The project is looking for a HESQ Manager, located in Dallol, Afar Region, Ethiopia.  This is a short-term assignment ending approximately June 2013.
	Responsibilities
			Implementation and compliance with Yara HESQ standards and systems.
			Develop and manage local safety plans
			Monitoring and reporting of HESQ performance to line management and local authorities
			Incident investigation internally and externally
			Competence development
			Contribute in the development and approval of safety plans of contractors
	Profile
			Minimum Bachelors degree and NEBOSH Diploma or similar
			Minimum: 5 years experience as Safety Officer or Manager at contstruction of Mining site.
			Ability to plan and work in a systematic manner.
			Able to prepare adapted HSEQ development plans
			Team work and ability to work independently
			Strong field experience
			Willing  to work at remote site
						Good communication skills
