According to a recent notice in Sedar.com, the AGM this year is on April 29, 2013 in Montreal. Last year it was March 31, 2012 in Quebec City. I recall that companies are required by law to hold an AGM within 6 months of their fiscal year-end. So they seem to be waiting as long as possible to hold the meeting. Hopefully it is to give them time to complete a deal. It would be particularly important if it is something we shareholders are required to vote on. This would avoid holding a special meeting later for the vote on the transaction.
I recall that Blackrock holds about 25% of the shares. I would be prepared to name Blackrock as holder of my proxy. They deserve a few seats on the Board of Directors. They just need to identify themselves on this message board and tell us how to do that.
