Hello Bob - You may have misunderstood my point. I am not trading options at this time.
My resources are in gold bullion (accumulated in 1998 and 1999 at less than $300 per ounce) and cash. I have no stock positions or option positions at this time. Perhaps you will agree that my position is very cautious. I am attempting to determine my next move.
As you know, options are certainly risky but can be very lucrative. I like the fact that options normally expire after a short period of time. In other words, most options win or lose quickly. In comparison, my investment in Montello was long and not very rewarding. But I am not suggesting an investment in Montello is wrong.
I believe an investment in Montello has better odds than a lottery ticket. I also believe that the wise selection of options have better odds than a lottery ticket. I have followed the work of a successful options trader for some time and believe options have merit.
