Compilation of CCH Fundamental Analysis

This compilation post is being repeated every 3-5 days. I explain my intentions behind this compilation at the bottom. “Comparables” easily support $1.00 a share http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13203036&tableid=0 A look at Campbell’s book value (we are trading well below book value) http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=12964161&tableid=1 Due Diligence discussion Part I, with data from the Prospectus --------------------- On October 4th, this next post had 360 unique person Page views On October 11th, this post had 496 unique person Page views Tonight, October 16th, we are up to 595 (the PageView counter in in the lower right corner) --------------------- http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13116560&tableid=1 Due Diligence discussion, covering Royalties (part II) http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13116579&tableid=1 Modeling with a lower gold price --------------------- These scenarios deal with the Copper Rand mine only. They don’t cover production from “Cedar Bay”, which I expect to see in late 2007 (Cedar Bay was mentioned in the April 24th press release). Cedar Bay is another mine with gold & copper, where the gold production can be modeled with a zero production cost. http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13255362&tableid=0 Debt situation is far better than meets eye http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13111141&tableid=1 Exact Details on the $50 million Deposit - An older post that provides more documentation on the restricted deposit. http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=11425436&tableid=1 Selling Wave at 10:13 – study it closely ----------------------------- This post has links to my post “Why are “they” doing this” (why are they selling?) http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13205549&tableid=0 Chibougamau, Quebec will be the next hot area for exploration - This post discusses the Chevrier project, and compares it to Apollo’s Black Fox project http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13186174&tableid=1 More Chibougamau exploration - [optimistic thought] When Campbell is out of CCAA, it might be worth $36 million (current fully diluted market cap) just based on its exploration holdings (not including its operating mines or royalties). Campbell’s exploration claims in the region are massive. Many claims are near past producing mines. http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13186604&tableid=0 Quebec Mines website http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13192478&tableid=0 More on the Pitt Gold property http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=11457311&tableid=1 --------------------------------------- The next 3 posts refer to Technical Reports, which are available in Sedar. They have dates of Sept. 27th. (They are also indexed under Sept. 11th) Corner Bay Technical Report http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13169074&tableid=1 3 Reports - Campbell exceeds expectations http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13173847&tableid=1 Did Copper Rand just double in size? (from Technical Report) http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13169217&tableid=1 Prospectus is Out! and it looks good http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13100822&tableid=1 Jpeg image of Copper Rand & Cedar Bay http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=11370945&tableid=1 Comparing NWI (Nuinsco) to their partner CCH http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13119001&tableid=1 Comparing CCH now to 2002-2004 http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=13031157&tableid=1 Excellent report, and a new producing mine! - This was posted right after we saw the 2nd quarter report. - I took an initial guess at the ore grade for Merrill Island. I was wrong on that, I think we later found out that the ore grade is about 1% for part of the resource, and less than 1% for the other part. Of course there were some Trolls on this board who jumped right ion my when I wrote 2%, even though my post said it was an assumption, and I expressed uncertainty in general. - I also wrote about Nuinsco owning half of Corner Bay, but only for the first 250 meters. In my last call to Mr. Fortier (CEO) he did say that Nuinsco owns half of the entire property, no matter how deep they go. I hope Campbell clarifies that in writing, it’s a little confusing. http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=12773192&tableid=1 --------------------------------------- The next posts are many months old. Some of the numbers in these posts could have changed. Analysis of the Eastmain Sale (part I) http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=12167168&tableid=1 Analysis of the Eastmain Sale (part II) http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=12167194&tableid=1 Eastmain and the future Royalty streams http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=12167200&tableid=1 Quebec Pension Fund buys 2.6 million shares http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=12072288&tableid=1 Update on the other Institutional Holders - This post mentions Investissement Quebec. They are a quasi-government agency in Quebec. You can “Google”. Having investments (in the common shares) from an agency like this is one of the main reasons I always knew that Campbell would make it. - This post also documents Sprott’s investments in Campbell, going way back. Sprott (that’s John Embry’s company) knows their stuff. --------- http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=12057999&tableid=1 More on SOQUEM (holders of CCH) - An older post that examines the other quasi-government agency that has invested in Campbell. http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=11460438&tableid=2 Copper up 10 cents - effect on earnings -This is an older post that discusses leverage to copper prices. http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=12044490&tableid=1 Why capitalizing earnings at Copper Rand http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=11764987&tableid=2 Perfect Methodical Accumulation by Northern http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=11757089&tableid=1 Interview with Mr. Fortier (CEO) in Quebec paper (March 25th, 2006) - posted by ChrisDunn - French to English translation by Google - Mr. Fortier makes this revealing comment: “Two years ago, if one had asked me for the ransom price which I would like to have, I would have answered 500 $ US, and there it is to 555 $ US. Copper is to 2,26 $ US delivers it, then that helped largely us " ----------- The point is that with gold at $500, and copper at $2.26, Mr. Fortier was already seeing a very solid future for Campbell. http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=11726909&t=0 First Operating Profit in 3 years! - Campbell actually had an operating profit in 2005, but you have to analyze the numbers to see it. I’ll bet that Sprott and Nuinsco saw it. The 2005 year-end numbers were released around the time when Sprott and Nuinsco would have been working on their deals. - People analyzing Campbell for the first time should looks at production and production cost figures from the 3rd and 4th quarters, 2005. Campbell was already producing 2 million lbs copper, per QUARTER, just from Copper Rand. The figures from the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2006 do not present a true picture of the potential. Campbell ran into an extreme cash crisis earlier this year, and development of new production areas ground to a halt. - We saw huge tax write-offs in 2005. But that has its benefit too. Campbell has millions of dollars of tax losses on the books, to apply to future earnings. Over the next year of two, Campbell will have a very favorable tax situation. http://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=11681696&tableid=1 --------------------------------------------------------- My intentions with the above information There are so many new people coming over here now, that I think it’s important to have a set of Fundamental Analysis posts available and positioned near the top of the most recent message list. I will be re-posting this list every day or two, specifically so it stays near the top, and new readers are able to spot it quickly. One of the preferred strategies of the Bashers is to obstruct a message board with so much garbage, that serious investors don’t quickly see the information that will help them make a BUY decision. If you have been here a while, and you see this info repeated, please just move onto the next post. I am targeting new readers. This message board has been rated in the top 5 for total traffic on many days (the list is on the Stockhouse home page); and we will continue to see new people here. Please remember that some of these posts are from 10 months ago. Always look at the date of the post, if you have questions on the accuracy of the information.
