Improved retail sales reported today, while, PPI at 0.4% expected 0.2%, CORE PPI @0.4% expected 0.2%. How will these wonderful numbers affect the markets today? Is it going to be marketed as positve like consumer still alive and spending or is it going to be marketed as negative like strength deminishes the probability of more QEs just a bit? S&P futures went up on knee jerk reaction but is down a bit to flat when compared to prior to the numbers. German's chancellor Merckel will be in Canada tomorrow, so, not much chance of any major announcements on the Europe Debt front? Europe indices up on better than retail numbers from that region.
