Robert Cohen, portfolio manager, Dynamic Funds on Gold Stocks Part II

IAMGOLD (NYSE:IAG AMEX:IAG TSE:IMG): attempted to merge with CAMBIOR (AMEX:CBJ TSE:CBJ)..Cambior historically cheap discount..IAMGOLD took advantage of that..some longer-term shareholder value but must prove..Cambior top management arguably weak but operating side strong..I would agree with $14-15 target..with execution of development projects + Cambior acquisition with improved gold price, shares certainly back through $10

SAN GOLD RESOURCES (CVE:SGR): still like it..indicated resource 2.8 tonnes grading 8g/tonne..over time will be bringing 2/3 of production from other zones..should be quite $1.80..little bit of wait and see

YAMANA GOLD (AMEX:AUY TSE:YRI): growing through acquisition..acquired VICEROY RESOURCES..was one of my favorities..hopefully will continue with quality $12-13..good growth company..aspires to go down same track as GOLDCORP (NYSE:GG TSE:G)

WESTERN GOLDFIELDS (TSE:WGI): run by Barrick ex-CEO..large tonnage, low grade..highly leveraged to gold price..either make a lot or lose your shirt..better value now..conservatively target $2.70..need to raise ~$100 cap fairly rich..I see better investments elsewhere

BARRICK GOLD (NYSE:ABX TSE:ABX): largest gold company in the world..far more liquid, more safety lower-cost production..

MUNDORO MINING (TSE:MUN): president just resigned, taken over by CEO..made a few mistakes with main project in China..China doesn't have same mining code..each province and each company unique..previous management upset local Chinese partner..risk-reward is terrific, conservatively it's probably worth $8-9..I think current management has ability to resolve JV Chinese partner..I do own it in my fund
