Beaufield is getting ready to fly as it is set to announce a new Moly drill program
BFD will soon announce that drilling of several targets on its Opinaca property which adjoins the Goldcorp Eleonore gold property in north central Quebec is scheduled to begin around April 15, 2007. Three targets will initially be investigated by at least 1500 metres of drilling.
The most important drill target is the Kessel-Ylesia zone which is a newly discovered molybdenum- gold-copper zone. Beaufield's summer program (November 14, 2006 news release) identified molybdenum gold and copper mineralization in a series of quartz veins within a diorite over a distance of 350 metres. Mineralization included a sample grading 6.51g/t gold, 33.6g/t silver, 1.36% copper and 12% molybdenum. A total of 43 rock samples were collected from a network of 0.5 to 1.2m wide quartz veins. The average assay values of 43 rock samples taken were 0.5g/t gold, 5.7 g/t silver, 0.2% copper and 1.1% molybdenum. The Kessel and Ylesia zones will initially be drill tested with 5 holes. Line cutting and geophysics have been completed in preparation for the drilling.
