I was mesmerized. I watched it again and again. Filmed from a helicopter, it went up and down the Golden Mile showing the length and breadth of the quartz vein system. Yikes, it's an eye opener.See for yourself, Kodiak Exploration Limited's Hercules Project video:http://kodiakexp.com/projects/gold_division/hercules/index.php?content_id=100

I was looking for a word. Big mineral discoveries are called "elephants". Some locales are known as "elephant country".  Geology works on a grand scale. Crustal slabs 40 kilometers square can get flipped and stacked.I've got a bear of an investment. A "bear" as in good, as in aggressive - that you have to grapple with. My bear is a Kodiak, an explorer. My problem is finding a word.Even the...

I use 'wee' as in 'small'. SHL, Spruce Ridge Resources, 14 mil. shares, no website, four prospects is very, very thinly traded. A very speculative stock. I'm not writing this to say buy. But I can't resist looking at recent events. A buyer appearing in a thinly traded stock gets folks a-wonderin'. At the time KXL the share, was running, amidst anticipation of news. Rumours were...

NR's are raining out of the sky. Or so it seems. At least for me. Two of my horses both have great news out tonight. BVG is hitting big numbers at Homestake Ridge 8.5 metre intercept of 25.3 grams gold, including a 4.0 metre intercept of 48.3 grams gold. KXL is out with boffo gold numbers, 16.6 metres grading  15.59 G/T of gold at Hercules. It seems the Kodiak spinoff will be...

Summer's over and I'm back. I've added a new position in REM. Buying in low.  Downside risk 50-75% as it approaches residual shell company value.  My stink bid was filled at .115 as the market came to us.  Rare Earth Metals has prospects and they'e exploring, news will flow. It's at the upper end of my preference for total shares out, but I'm willing to speculate - a little....

Life on the Caribou Lake Intrusion seems good. Onoing exploration is tickling the surface finding more evidence of the potential elephantine deposits within the Caribou Lake Intrusion. The Canadian junior exploration company, Kodiak Exploration (KXL), has a stock that has always been volatile - life is sometimes good, sometimes ... well... trying, very trying very very trying...

A former US Federal Reserve Board member was lamenting the current Bernanke Board is losing its' compass. The primary job of the Fed is price stability. The Fed Board members' focus in their comments recently wrestle with data from the economy are spooking the markets. What they all must be realizing is the Fed's mandate isn't appropo in the current global finance system. Currency...

  • Gold consolidates

US dollar strengthens as interest rate hikes by a handful of nations convince traders the US Fed will be compelled to raise rates. The rise of global interest rates  is the intermediate term trend. While this trend persists gold will bottom above $580 and then trade sideways until the global interest rates consolidate higher. The sideways action is the gentle plain and savannah of...
