President Barack Obama is still in the lead against Mitt Romney on the topic of who would better handle Medicare in the crucial swing states of Florida, Ohio and Virginia.
In Florida 50% of voters favoured Obama to handle Medicare while 44% favoured Romney. Romney’s Medicare plan would change for people who are now under 55 while President Obama has said that he would keep Medicare in its current form. Mr. Romney is ahead of Obama on the Medicare issue among voters who are over 65 in Florida, Virginia and Ohio. However Obama has the support of the majority of voters under 55 in these states.
